Original Members Announce Reunion!

Crushonthejets is excited to announce the reunion of the original group for a 25th Anniversary reunion, in their hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota where they were discovered back in the early 80's. Ironically they will be performing in the very theatre they had a two month long rehearsal in for their Magic tour in the spring of 1988, and where Elizabeth shot the video for "Make It Real". The opening act will be the uniquely named neo soul group "Twin City", comprised of five of the younger Wolfgramms, Natalia, Kelela, Tiare, Donnie, and Mika. All of which have performed as members of The Jets during the nineties. Natalia, Mika, and Donnie were also seasoned members of "JETT17", who released their debut CD "All Together Now" in 2003.

THE JETS In Hawaii - Hana Hou

disneyjetsinhawaii

Honolulu Hawaii ~ The original members of the band made it real when they returned to the spotlight on Saturday night October 10th 2009 to perform together for the first time in over 20 years on the stage they adorned with numerous performances during their U.S. concert tours, as well as where they filmed their 1987 live concert special for the Disney Channel, "The Jets in Hawaii".

Performing live at the 80's & 90's Mega Music Festival at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu were Moana, Eugene, Rudy, LeRoy, Haini, Eddie, and Kathi. Natalia filled in for her sister Elizabeth who was a proud momma to be, and was Blaisdell Centerunable to perform.

The Jets started off the night with 'Sendin All My Love', followed by 'Cross My Broken Heart', 'Rocket 2 U', 'You Got It All', 'Crush On You', 'La La Means I Love You', 'Curiosity', 'Laie Boy', and the band also did a tribute to Michael Jackson by covering his hit 'Wanna Be Startin Somethin', and closed with their Billboard top 10 hit 'Make It Real'. The audience didn't have enough though and began chanting "Hana Hou!" for an encore!

Is this a start of something new for The Jets? Stay tuned and find out!

The Covergirls opened the festivites, followed by Ready For The World, The Jets, and concluding the show with En Vogue.  Fan response sums it up in this comment, "It was off the hook!", says Aleina Baisa of Wailuku Maui, winner of the crushonthejets contest for two tickets to see the show.
